A web-based platform developed by a team of pet-passionate students from Kennesaw State University in Atlanta, Georgia. The team comprises Eric Poole (Team Lead, Full Stack Developer), Kyaa Goggins (Full Stack Developer), Susan Moreno (UI/UX Developer, Technical Writer), Donye Richardson (Front End Developer), and Zachary Daguisan (Front End Developer, Research Manager). The platform aims to assist pet adoption organizations in creating more compelling and meaningful pet descriptions, thereby increasing adoption rates. By leveraging a PetFinder ID, users can generate enhanced pet profiles that better resonate with potential adopters. The website is built using modern web technologies, including TypeScript with React (TSX) and CSS, ensuring a responsive and user-friendly interface. Additionally, the team utilized third-party systems such as Supabase for backend services and GitHub for version control and collaboration. Fetch My Story exemplifies the integration of technology and compassion, providing a valuable tool for animal shelters and rescue organizations to improve their outreach and adoption success.
